Baby Scout

Ty and I have some good friends here in Safford. One couple, Jimmy and Rachel, just had a baby. Scout did very well the first day but began to have respiratory trouble on the second day. She spent the day in an oxygen tent with in IV in her little scalp. It's difficult to take pictures of a situation this stressful and difficult, it was doubly hard for me because Ty and I have personal experience with a similar situation with our own daughter. The shooting situation was made difficult by wired glass and very low light. Scout is doing much better and came home today. When her mom reached under the tent to feed her, she stretched her little foot out towards her mom's face. I couldn't resist.

Timbert comes to visit

I'm a member of a website, Photography Corner, and we're hosting an international photo project. We're shipping this little guy to different places around the world and posting his images for everyone to view. Here are some of his images here in Arizona. If you'd like to see more of his travels, visit www.photographycorner.com

Fun filters

I bought a cheap filter program for PS3. Just because it's fun and can really make some images pop. Here's one from a recent newspaper job. And, I cut the front tires off. Sue me.

Shooting

I really love commercial photography. I'm a bit of a control freak, I admit it. Although, thanks to Ty, I'm much better than I used to be I still have to work to manage it. Commercial work gives me complete control. The objects, the lighting, the setup. I control it all.
